About

Hi, I’m Amy, but you can call me Amyella. Or Amy El. Or Ame, whatever. This is my blog. Again.

I started blogging in, oh, 2002, and have since had no less than three URLs where my blogs lived. As my life went through various, uh, levels of turmoil I kept deleting my blog during neurotic fits. I can’t seem to stay away, however, so now I’m back and LUCKY YOU.

My most popular blog chronicled my life as a figure competitor and basically just focused on diet, nutrition, fitness, working out, and competing.

When that all came crashing to a halt I started to just blog about my life in general.

You’ll likely hear about these cast of characters pretty often:

Kima: my baby girl. She’s a three year old Rottweiler, I’ve had her since she was nine weeks. To this day I’m still surprised when she doesn’t directly answer me when I ask her a question. I also say “bless you” when she sneezes.

Easton: my baby boy. He’s a three year old Boxer that came as part of a package deal (see, HP). I love him like my own, though. He’s the well behaved one, we keep hoping his manners will rub off on Kima. So far the only things that’s rubbed off on her is him.

HP: my man. I’m absolutely mad about him and we make an outrageously good team. He’s everything I’ve ever wanted in a partner and we make each other ridiculously happy.

The Herd: These girls have been my best friends in world for the past 25 years. That’s pretty awesome, until I consider the fact that I’m old enough to have had best friends for 25 years.

I still work out pretty regularly, doing cardio most mornings and lifting in the evenings. I still cook a lot and from time to time will have a new recipe to put up for you. For the most part, though, I’m finally at a point in my life where I’m really happy, I laugh a lot, and I have a lot of balance.

I know, you totally want to punch me in the face right now, don’t you?
