My vacuum is dead. My floors are filthy and the dog hair is grossing even me out.
I’m toying with the idea of a Dyson, the Amazon reviews seem to support its claims. I’d much rather spend $500 on a new summer wardrobe, or a weekend away, or a spa day, or MAH BILLS but dude…you should see the dog hair. It’s bad.
amyella.. if you spend $500 on a vacuum, i may have to kill you.
I bought a shark at bed, bath and beyond. It is a red limited edition one… it was $80 and i had the 20% off coupon… so it was like $60. And i am absolutely in love with it.
However, if you can’t find that one… the sharks are pretty good irregardless (yes i know it isn’t a word… i just like to put that in there to aggravate you. 🙂 )
Eureka was ok… I killed it in about two years. but i am in love with my new shark one. Plus, i think if you buy one of the not limited edition ones, you get replacement filters for life. You just have to pay shipping on them.
DO NOT spend $500 on a vacuum. I just bought a Kenmore for half that (including an extended warranty) and it comes with a cool pet hair attachment. I absolutely love vacuuming and I am very happy with this one. Bags & filters are extra, but reasonably priced.
But I would agree with Tink on the shark…especially if you can get replacement filters for life…very cool.
At any rate, you can get a great vac for way less than $500. 🙂
Hubby bought me a Dyson ’cause I’ve always wanted one, and it’s REMARKABLE. I LOVE IT! It picks up ALL the dog and cat hair, even the stuff you can’t see! BUT, $500 IS a little steep to pay for a vacuum. Don’t know how much he spent, but I’m sure you could find something just as good for less. Good luck!
Dyson has a smaller one too. I think I paid $300-something-odd dollars for it. It’s amazing. I mean, I own a small condo, but it’s more than big enough. Plus, the cool ball it rolls around on makes it easy to clean small spaces. Wow, I totally sound like an infomercial…
